Our Indomitable Gran
It’s wonderful to advocate the life of someone from the third sector. Toni Goldenberg thrilled us this month when she revealed the stunning results of her facelift performed by Mr Hagen Schumacher of Harley Street Skin clinic.
Toni (80) is a grandmother who has enjoyed a rich and varied life and it showed in her face! Fed up of looking at a woman she did not recognise, Toni was not only brave enough to undergo a three and a half hour operation to turn back time but also to engage with a ravenous British press by telling her story.
This gutsy lady has been a big part of our PR campaign for Harley Street Skin over the last few weeks having agreed to be filmed for a documentary, appear on the BBC One Show and in almost every national newspaper- unveiling her bruised and swollen face to the world just one week after the operation.
There’s more to come from Toni too as her beautiful new face will take us on a journey that could lead us to who knows where!
Dancing Back to Life
With the NHS advocating the many and varied physical and mental health, social and lifestyle benefits of dance, it’s not surprising that we are planning to restart our #GetBritainDancing campaign very soon. It was a great success last year when the Arthur Murray Dance Troop visited Sunrise Homes for the elderly and those living with Alzheimer’s Disease. (And by the way, if you are in your middle age and want to grow your hippocampus, take up dance)!
Now we want to showcase all that dance has to offer and celebrate the man who not only taught Marilyn Monroe and the Duke of Windsor to dance but also started up the second oldest franchise operation and largest dance brand in the world. And so, with this in mind we are working on the development of a new tv series showcasing some of the lives that dance, and in particular Arthur Murray, has positively touched.
There’s no business like show business!
