Newsletter – November 2018
We joined The Duke of Cambridge for the launch of Football For Peace, an inspirational organisation that through football, builds understanding between races and cultures. As the Duke put it, “Young leaders working together… playing together…learn to confront pre-conceptions, stereotypes and negative ideologies.” We couldn’t agree more! Check out #FootballSavesLives.
Cut above the rest
Stuart Phillips, the stars’ hairdresser of choice, has picked up a slurry of awards and accolades for his amazing hairstyling. Now we are proud to pick him up as a client. Celebrities like Ronnie Wood… Jonathan Ross…Jamie Oliver…Beverley Knight and Hollywood actor Benicio del Toro, trust Stuart to put their hair and style in his hands.
Customers at his salon can chillout with an experience that goes way beyond anything offered by traditional hairdressers. We can’t wait to pamper him as much as he pampers his clients’ locks.
BBC visits Wickers
After a particularly horrific week of knife attacks in the capital, we got in touch with BBC London about our client, The Wickers Charity, to promote their work helping reduce gang crime in East London. Wickers founder Henry Smith and Operations Manager Yvonne Martin were interviewed at the charity’s hub in Hackney Wick, a safe haven for youths aged 8-18.
Anyone for PR?
The world-famous L’escargot restaurant, in the heart of London’s Soho, was the spectacular setting for KBA to host PR students from Birmingham City University. KBA’s Head of Talent, Sam Kane, compered an awesome series of talks delivered by KBA’s finest: Will Moore, Jacob Gilles and James Kenneth. The students were entertained with enthralling tales of cunning, plots and subterfuge – as well as excellent career advice on how to land a job and succeed!
Homelessness in London is a huge issue. We got involved with Centrepoint’s Big Broth campaign to raise money for homeless people. Just to ensure our soups were extra special, we added smiles – made of fresh veg – tasty!
Two fashion giants come together
One of the biggest news in the world of fashion was the eagerly awaited partnership between high street retailer H&M and Moschino.
We were really excited to attend the London launch, and even more excited to get our hands on some amazing limited-edition numbers exclusively designed by Jeremy Scott.
Forecast – sunny clouds ahead
Just about every business these days relies in some way or other on the cloud. Cvent offers neat cloud solutions for events, and hospitality. At one of their terrific networking lunch events, we discovered their latest product – a brilliantly easy to use microsite for live events. Something we are definitely interested in getting involved with.
Driving To Success
Our client, Alan Day Volkswagen officially opened a new Skoda franchise in New Southgate, North London and were featured in Car Dealer Magazine and a new car website called In The Driving Seat.
